One of Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwaranandaji's last stops on the 2018 World Peace Tour was in Alexandria, Virginia, USA – close to the nation's capital of Washington DC – from 23-26 February 2018. The visit included a meeting with City Mayor of Alexandria, Ms Allison Silberberg.

Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council announces that on 7 March 2018, a World Peace Council Conference will take place on the topic 'Yoga and World Peace'. The conference has been organized by Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council (SSMWPC), in cooperation with the International Day of Yoga Committee at the United Nations, and United Nations Staff Recreation Council (UNSRC) / Enlightenment Society (SEAT).

New Zealand was blessed by a week-long visit from His Holiness Vishwaguruji, who spent the seven days among all three ashrams on the North Island - Auckland, Raumati Beach and the capital, Wellington.

On 17.01.2018, Vishwaguru Swami Maheshwaranandji met with His Excellency Shree Ramnath Kovind, Honorable President of India, at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi.

On 12 January 2018, Vishwaguruji was awarded D.Litt (Doctor Litterarum) due to his extraordinary work in the field of Yoga, namely Yoga in Daily Life - the System.

Near Bangalore, in the prestigious university, Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA), the 22nd Annual INCOFYRA international conference took place from 5th to 8th of January 2018.

On 2nd January 2018 in Mumbai, a bhajan and satsang program was organized by Narendra Chaudry of Sirvi Samaj.
